A private self-check
A few honest questions to think about. There is no score, and nothing you tick is saved or sent anywhere.
Gambling should be something you choose to do for fun, with money you can afford to lose. Read each question and think about the last 12 months.
If any of these sound familiar, you don’t have to work it out alone: free, confidential support is listed below. Nothing you tick is saved.
What your answers mean
This is not a test and it gives no score. If you ticked any box, or a question made you uneasy, it is worth talking to someone or putting a limit in place now. Ticking several is a strong sign to get support. Help is free and confidential, and you don't have to wait until things are serious.
Where to get help
- Free, confidential helplines Talk to someone by phone or online chat. Our list names the country each helpline serves. If none covers where you live, a doctor or local health service can point you to support near you.
- GamStop (UK) (opens in new tab) Free self-exclusion from every UK-licensed gambling site at once.
- Gamban (opens in new tab) Blocking software for gambling sites and apps on your devices.
- Your GambGenius account If you have an account: hide every offer, take a time-out or self-exclude.
Licensed operators also offer deposit limits, reality checks, time-outs and self-exclusion in their account settings. Our responsible gambling page explains each one, and its support section lists helplines with the country each one serves.
Your ticks are not stored, sent or tracked. Close or reload the page and they are gone.
